The Growth and Lead Hack Series: 7 Secret Hacks for 200% more customers.
In this new series "Growth and Lead Hacks" we will give you methods which are hardly used and represent a huge potential for lead generation and new customer acquisition.
1. The "more links for my website" hack
Install MozBar and search for blog articles with your keyword on Google Chrome. Now, based on the MozBar data, create a list of the best blog articles that use your keyword but don't link to it. Unless the author of the article is known, you can identify the site owner using builtwith.com and ask them to link to your blog. When analyzing, pay attention to the Page Authority (PA) and Domain Authority (DA) values. The higher they are, the more qualified a blog and its backlink is worth more to you.
2. The "Wikipedia" hack
Do not write an article about your company on Wikipedia, as the relevance guidelines are very strict. Instead, search for articles in your field that are incorrect. Then you can write an article that contains exactly this information. Now link from Wikipedia to your blog.

Use BuzzSumo to identify the most successful influencers in your topic area and ask them a question about your topic. Then put all the questions together in a blog article and link to the influencers. They will share your post, so the reach and interactions won't be long in coming.

Do it differently than your competitors. Out of the box. Humor can work wonders in this regard. For example, take a standard element of your website and transform it into something humorous. In the example you see two 404 error pages, which stay in your mind and stand out because of a funny, unique way. Build an emotional connection with your visitors and customers and generate more leads.
7. The "you are a super journalist" hack
Find a journalist who regularly covers your industry. Follow him on social media and interact with his posts. We recommend you to create a Google Alert with his name. This way you will always receive all the news. The goal is to build a long-term and good relationship with the influencer. So read his articles and comment on them. Congratulate him on his articles and praise good text passages. You can also occasionally share his tweets, but the most important thing is that you always remain authentic. After a while, you can write a first email in which you briefly introduce yourself. Congratulate him on his article and show him why you like reading them. Avoid writing about your company. Two to three weeks later you can write another e-mail. Remind the journalist or influencer of you and then introduce your company to them. The most important part of the email: It must be short and crisp. Ask him if he wants to write about it, because it fits perfectly with his previous articles. The important thing is: less is more. Make it as easy as possible for the journalist to answer with a yes.
